Beginning of business in Vietnam

In June 2020, we concluded an investment agreement with SQC Investment Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter “SQC”), a subsidiary of the Singapore-based Sing Swee Bee Group, to participate in the industrial gas production and sale business of Sing Industrial Gas Vietnam Company Limited (hereinafter “SIGVN), a Vietnamese company owned by SQC.

Introduction to the SSB Group

The Singapore-based Sing Swee Bee Group is a comprehensive industrial gas company with offices throughout Southeast Asia.
In addition to production, sale and transportation of nitrogen, oxygen and other gases, the SSB Group’s strengths include non-destructive testing of LNG ships, small-scale transportation of LNG, and sale and leasing of ISO tank containers.

Vietnam has achieved remarkable economic development in recent years, and the market potential of industrial gases, mainly used for purging to prevent combustion and oxidation of food, welding and medical gas, is expected to continue to grow significantly.

Introduction to SIGVN

SIGVN owns an air separation plant in Binh Duong Province in southern Vietnam (approximately 50 km north of Ho Chi Minh City). Since 2012, SIGVN has been producing and selling nitrogen, oxygen and argon, as well as running a wide range of related businesses, including sale and leasing of ISO tank containers, production and sale of acetylene, and sale of refrigerants. The company aims to expand and develop its business area and business domain in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Supply of medical oxygen

Since the summer of 2021, in response to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 infection in the southern part of Vietnam, SIGVN has continued supplying more than 180,000 tons of liquified oxygen per month at the request of the government to hospitals in the surrounding areas, including approximately 4,500 beds in a field hospital that was built in a rush, fulfilling its mission as life-saving infrastructure.

Introduction to the Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City

Osaka Gas Liquid Co., Ltd. established its representative office in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2022.
The goal of the representative office is to provide SIGVN, which is expanding its business, with both technical and marketing support, including providing Osaka Gas Liquid’s expertise and skills in industrial gas production cultivated in Japan and conducting business activities for Japanese-affiliated companies by utilizing the domestic customer network.
We would like to provide meticulous industrial gas related services to companies currently doing business in Vietnam and companies planning to expand into Vietnam in the future.
Furthermore, we will also provide a wide range of energy utilization and energy-saving technology services using LPG, LNG, natural gas and other gases, making the most of the network of Daigas Group companies and SSB Group.
